The Ivermectins are a group of chemically related compounds originally isolated from the actinomycete Streptomyces avermitilis. They are macrocyclic lactone derivatives with potent anthelmintic activity, but lack antibacterial or antifungal activity.
The Ivermectins also have insecticide activity and include the compounds abamectin, doramectin, emamectin, and eprinomectin.
