Beta Lactam Standard Accessory Kit
Beta-lactam antibiotics are among the most widely used antibiotics for the treatment of bacterial infections in man and animals. Beta-lactams are also administered to animals in feed for growth promotion and for collective prophylactic treatment.
The monitoring of beta-lactam residues in edible tissues and milk is important because of the hypersensitivity of some individuals to these antibiotics and also the emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria. For this reason, maximum residue limits have been specified for food products and milk to try and control the levels of these antibiotics reaching the consumer.
|Once reconstituted standards are ready to use||ELISA detects 11 beta-lactams at sub MRL levels||ELISA has excellent sensitivity to cloxacillin and dicloxacillin|
To be used in conjunction with the Beta Lactam ELISA
Ensure each vial of beta-lactam standard and diluted wash buffer has reached room temperature (+19 to +25°C) before use.
Reconstitute each vial of standard with 5ml of diluted wash buffer. Leave to stand for 10 minutes and then mix for 10 minutes on a rocking roller.
