Sulphonamides are synthetic bacteriostatic antimicrobial agents with a wide antibacterial spectrum encompassing most gram positive and many gram negative organisms.
They are widely used for the therapeutic and prophylactic treatment of animal disease.

Sulphaquinoxaline is used for prevention and treatment of coccidiosis in turkeys, chickens, rabbits and cattle.
It is available as a powder for adding to drinking water or as a premix for inclusion in the feed for growth promotion purposes.
