Overview

Clenbuterol has been shown to induce lipolysis whilst promoting an increase in muscle mass. However, there is a risk that residues of Clenbuterol may be present in meat products, which may be harmful to the consumer. The use of Clenbuterol as growth promoters has been banned in most countries. Consequently, it is important that abuse of this compound is monitored.

Intended Use

To be used in conjunction with the Clenbuterol ELISA (CB1418) and/or Beta Agonist ELISA SU2148

Preparation

Reconstitute each vial of Low Control and Elevated Control with 0.5 ml of double distilled H2O. Mix by inversion and leave to stand for 30 minutes. Mix thoroughly prior to use.

SU 2148

Dilute low and elevated controls 10 fold, e.g. 0.05 ml reconstituted control + 0.45 ml SU 2148 diluted ELISAdiluent/wash buffer.

CB 1418

Dilute low and elevated controls 10 fold, e.g. 0.05 ml reconstituted control + 0.45 ml CB1418 diluted ELISA diluent/wash buffer.
