Catalogue No. ZR2421 (Click Here to Order)

Overview

Key Advantages:

  • Excellent Cross reactivity against the major metabolite zearalanone.
  • Rapid and simple assay format
  • Plates precoated with analyte specific antibody , reducing assay set up
  • Accessory Immunoaffinity Columns available for sample clean up allowing higher signal to noise ratios and cleaner samples suitable for ELISA, HPLC or GC-MS
  • Exceptional Limits of Detection

Zeranol (a-zearalanol) is a non-steroidal estrogenic growth promoter, used to increase weight gain and feed conversion in animals.

Zeranol is a semi-synthetic product derived from the naturally occurring mycotoxin zeralenone.

Its administration has been banned within the EU (council directive 96/22/EEC), although its use is still widely permitted in other countries, including the USA.
